The workings of a chaos writer
I am a complete chaos writer. I don't sit down and wonder what I should write and then write just that. For me it is like a car blaring down the street with my characters driving, shouting "Get in, loser!"

The idea for Beyond the Horizon came to me in a dream while I was living in Rome for the summer of 2015 on my own. Amelia Lalonde just landed in my hand and demanded to be written. It was the start of an adventure that is still ongoing 7 years later and I love all the characters that have since followed.
​
But I don't just spend my time imagining how it would be to stab someone or plan a siege, I also wonder how it would be to be a ghost for 40 years or a vampire for centuries and sometimes a dragon, too!

Ghost Girl and Fang Boy
- A working title
This is an idea I have had since I was 18, so a good long while! I actually wrote the first draft back then and have since lost the manuscript. So now I am working based off soe vague memories and rewriting the story for a more adult audience. (Yes, that means a lot og smut!)

This novel is my first paranormal romance written for an adult audience with adult themes and I am having a lot of fun with these characters.
​
Set with the backdrop of a smouldering Roman summer it's going to be a perfect beach read!

In the story we meet Valentine, she has been a ghost for 40 years and have haunted the world since she died of an OD at a Replacements concert back in the early 80s. In her four decades of traipsing the world all alone she has never met another ghost or been seen by any living mortal. That all changes one day in Rome when she meets Gabriel, a moody vampire.
​
Gabriel invites Val home to stay with him and she slowly comes back to life, well, at least more like an undead. He introduces her to the Otherworld, a society of otherworldly beings she never knew existed. This is where she meets her new best friend, an elf with an addiction to the sun, Gabriel's oldest friend Nat, another vampire and Bella, a witch who wants to help her understand why she is suddenly not a ghost anymore.

Things get tricky when the shadow council of the Otherworld decide she might be a threat, Gabriel's maker and ex-girlfriend shows up and Val's own ex-boyfriend comes looking for her. It doesn't help that he is a reaper sent from the Underworld to claim her soul.
​
And why is Gabriel so familiar? Why was it only when they met she came back to the living?
